Our Story
Actuaries’ Lekgotla (AL) was created in 2016 to address the challenges faced by black actuarial professionals and has since evolved into an organisation whose visions is to empower, celebrate and encourage black actuaries in South Africa.
Mission
Assist in accelerating qualification timeliness for members and thereby increase the number of black qualified actuaries.
Produce brilliant actuaries who are technically competent, have general business acumen and the additional skills to become business leaders.
Be at the forefront of speaking truth to power regarding transformation and advocating for the interests of black actuarial professionals.
Challenge and influence relevant policy and regulation, as well as other South African public interest matters where the actuarial profession can add value.
